The company is establishing an import and distribution operation for its core food products. Odwi will be directly importing Date fruit from Saudi Arabia where Date fruit is a staple food from thousand of years. Odwi will be bringing Pink Himalayan salt directly from source as well. Pink Himalayan salt is found in the mines in the Salt Range mountains near the Himalayas in Pakistan. It is believed to be high in minerals and provides health benefits to those who consume it. For these reasons, pink Himalayan salt is often thought to be much healthier than regular table salt. Pink Himalayan salt typically contains higher concentrations of aluminum, silicon, potassium, titanium, magnesium, and iron than salt sourced from elsewhere. Basmati rice is an aromatic rice that is not grown or cultivated in the U.S. It is a variety of long, slender-grained aromatic rice which is traditionally grown in India, Nepal, and Pakistan. Odwi will be bringing long grained aromatic rice to U.S as well, all at an affordable price.
Odwi may import a wide range of other spices and unique foods based on the market it operates in and the manufacturers it works with. It currently does not have specific plans to do this but is open to remaining dynamic and flexible in its offerings. The company plans to develop strong relationships with key retailers and online merchants with who it will work as partners. Odwi will work closely with each retailer to recommend product assortments that reflect the needs of their retail base, the appropriate inventory levels, market-specific pricing, eye-catching display assortments, as well as promotional ideas and material to increase sales both for the retailers and for Odwi.
